Came out great, and now looks more "urban" now. I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me. Most vests (that I have seen) are not made of natural fabrics, they usually use synthetic fabrics that are colored during the manufacturing stage (what would be considered tint as opposed to dye). It might be like trying to remove coloring from fiberglass.

The ACU camo pattern sucks in my opinion but you can get the uniforms and MOLLE gear at a reasonable price and to make it blend into the woodland environment is to dye it another color like OD Green.
