Even when warm it will kinda caugh when going down ahill on the trail. It stays runninng but caughs or chugs. I am thinking that perhaps a new CDI would solf the problem. I really don't want to get into the ... WebStart the bike when the engine is cold. It should be a minimum of 13.5V when the bike is idling and rise to 14-14.5V when you rev the engine a little. Then drive the bike for some minutes to heat the engine and test it again. Your readings should not change from your cold engine readings. Low or no readings could indicate a bad stator.
