Webb2 mars 2008 · Unscrew the 5 screws holding your glovebox up and unplug the light. Unscrew the top screws of the passenger front fender and lean it back against something. Pop out the rubber grommet for your antenna and there's your hole. I just cut out the grommet in the middle to accomodate the amount of wires I was running. Would I just run a 4 gauge and then use a distribution block to split into an 8 and 12? Basically yeah, just make sure you have a fused distribution block. Webb16 mars 2016 · I ran my wires the same as Sharkcaver- between the boot and the OEM bundled loom (this does not have space for more wire without being completely undone). I think undoing the boot makes it quite easy to push the wire through and get it on the other side of the boot before feeding it through the firewall. I ran my aux brake break-away wire through it for towing the Jeep behind the motorhome. I drilled a hole through the cap, fed the wire through siliconed the slight extra space around the wire after reinstalling the cap. Webb1 sep. 2009 · Just finished installing. Look forward toward the firewall and there is a round hole filled with insulation. I used a coat hanger to start a hole and run the wires thru. Webb19 juli 2024 · Technically there aren't any. There are pass-thru wires, which are literally a couple feet of wires, cut off on both ends, that run through the firewall. On the inside of the cab, you move the small panel by the passengers right foot.. you'll see a bundle of PTO wires, those are *not* your pass thru wires.

WebbThe single firewall port is miserable, I'm not sure if its because I have a Touring package and it has extra wires but I cut up the boot on both sides of the firewall and released some of the zip ties and I couldn't get anything through. I was worried I was going to cut up the wires so I gave up and checked the door jam. Plenty of room.

Webb13 okt. 2024 · Yep, I had to run 5 wires thru the main harness boot, used a leather Awl to punch the lead wire thru, then pulled the bundle thru, with help from some silicone spray lube, worked fine.
