WebDec 12, 2024 · I have a Venture in 30-06. Straight out of the box with my handloads using Sierra Game King 165 gr. Boat Tail Spitzer bullets and a medium charge of IMR 3031 I got a 3 shot .500" group with 2 shots going in the same hole at 100 yards. This was the first ammo I shot through this rifle. No need to shoot anything else. WebMar 6, 2024 · A little on the heavy side for my preference, but since it’s fully adjustable, I see why the Thompson/Center folks send it out on the weightier side. The single-stage trigger is grit-free and has a nice crisp break. If I keep this rifle, I might consider adjusting the trigger down to 3 1/2 pounds, but other than that, it’s good to go.
